Really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and delicious cuisine! Definately NOT prepackaged fried food. A very tasty meal...will definately be going back. OH and the prices were very reasonable for the excellent quality of food!
The Garrison, in my opinion, is the best place to eat in town (and to drink)! It can get crowded at times but it is more than worth it. Below there are two review that are dated early 2008 and in 2007. The restaurant wasn't around then and it was a different restaurant owned and run by completly different people. So those two reviews do not even apply. One of those reviews mentions that you should try Brewbakers instead, well, it was actually the owner of Brewbakers who went and stated his own pub The Garrison!
I see that most of the reviews are from a few monts ago. This place has undergone a lot of changes in the past 6 months and is now by far my favourite place to eat in Fredericton. Judging by the crowds at lunch and afer work, a lot of other people agree with me. The Strawberry Chevre salad is the best salad ever, along wih my other favourites, the Alehouse Burger and their Poutine. Combine that with the amazng beer selection when even I, not a beer drinker, can find something yummy (Picaroon's Watermelon Ale or Garrison's Raspberry Wheat) and it's a great all round night!!!!
Awesome experience. To all the people that complain about the food they obviously went there for the wrong reasons. They have a fantastic drink menu, the best in the city by far. The food isn't the best in town but the atmosphere and selection is amazing. Recommended to anyone looking to have a few good brew!
Amazing restaurant! great Food! great Service! One there once because its beside my work and since then its been my favorite restaurant in town. They bring in some great band on weekends and the atmosphere is amazing! 2 thumbs up! Keep up the great work!
What a joke of a restuarant in my opinion. My wife and I have eaten at many fine dining establishments around the world. This place just misses the mark on so many levels. We ordered white wine and they could not locate a wine chiller for us. The setting does not lend itself to a
The best food in all Fredericton. Period.
This restaurant was a huge disappointment! All 4 members of our party had pasta dishes, and they were so watery that there was absolutely no flavour. We had tiramisu for dessert, which was basically whipped cream and hard lady finger cookies...quite disgusting. Fortunately the bruschetta we had was good. The service was okay, but our waiter had minimal knowledge of the food the restaurant offered. The food that we received cost far too much for what it was. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Go to Brewbaker's instead!
we went there and we thought it was terrible. we told them that it was a romantic dinner, they gave us a seat in the middle of a jammed packed room, there was no room between the table, the table clothes were all wrinkled. The meal itself was terrible, the veal was all fat and the chicken breast was so small and overcooked that it could not chewed. the best part of the whole experience was the dirty martini and that was almost too disgusting to drink....we will not be back
